Enjoy Good Weather in Gainesville, Florida.

In Gainesville, Florida we are wondering about our wonderful weather.  It has been so nice here, so sunny, so pretty, so comfortable, it's a contrast to much of the rest of the country.

This year parts of the U.S. have been subjected to numerous huge tornadoes.  We in Florida sympathize and know how it feels to be hit by the weather.  We have had more than a few hurricanes and tornadoes over the years.

BUT, THANKFULLY, Gainesville and vicinity hasn't had significant damage from a hurricane in over 100 years.  The hurricanes have missed us each time and the tornadoes have been in other parts of Florida.  Weatherwise this has been a great place to live.  We know there is always the possibility of the weather pattern changing so we enjoy it for now and so should you.

We get a change of season in the fall (autumn) and the leaves change color and fall from the deciduous trees.  We get some cold weather in the winter - refreshing.  We get the spring flowers.  We also get a long hot summer.

Are we lucky?  It could have something to do with being on the line between the temperate zone and the sub-tropical zone.  The strong continental frontal systems weaken as they approach here.  The clash of cold and warm air is not as bad because the temperature difference on both sides of the front is not as great.

Of course, there's a down side to even good weather.  Gainesville's "Urban Forest" has had to adapt to periods of low rainfall, but it is still a beautiful "Tree City USA."  However, at least for now, despite a rain deficiency, we have an ample supply of clean pure water in the underground aquifer.

We also have an ample supply of nice home and condos in all price ranges to choose from.  Come on BUYERS, enjoy the great weather, low prices, and low interest rates.  Look at the homes and condos available at my MLS at www.GainesvilleFloridaHomes.com and www.EyemarkRealty.com.
